Report "Implementation of finite elements with intermediate nodes on edges in SP LIRA 10.4" at RAACS ("Zolotovskii readings")

LIRA 10.4 software was presented on the 24th of June 2015 at Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAACS) at IV International scientific meeting "Problems and methods of computer-aided design of structures and buildings" ("Zolotovskii readings"). Conference has a great practical importance for building community. Scientific employees from various companies and organizations from Russia and other countries took part in the event. "LIRA soft" company was represented by "LIRA 10" project scientific coordinator Evzerov I.D., Doctor of Technical Science, and company's technical director Kolesnikov A.V. Subject of the report: "Implementation of finite elements with intermediate nodes on edges in SP LIRA 10.4".

Report addressed matters related to implementation and approbation of new finite elements. Benefits of such elements were displayed in a specific cases. The great number of improper utilization of finite elements exists in calculation practice. which leads to reproducibility. Given aspects were touched during pathological tests solving, where traditional finite elements (LIRA 9.4, 9.6, 10.0, 10.2) produce poor accuracy results. Utilization of finite elements with intermediate nodes on edges in LIRA 10.4 produces reasonably acceptable accuracy of the results.
