Abstract: An overview of the methods for seismic design, implemented in the software package LIRA 10: expansion in the forms of natural vibrations and direct integration of equations of motion.

Earthquakes take a leading place among extraordinary natural phenomena in terms of human casualties and significant material losses. Confirmation, unfortunately, we saw during the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria. A large part of the territory of Ukraine [1] is seismically dangerous.
The magnitude and complexity of the tasks of earthquake-resistant design of civil, industrial and transport construction objects requires appropriate theoretical and programmatic developments. For many years, software package (SP) LIRA 10 has successfully coped with the tasks of earthquake-resistant design. Calculations for seismic effects according to the building codes of Armenia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, USA, Eurocode, Israel, India, Algeria and Turkey are implemented. Calculations for one-component and three-component accelerograms of earthquakes, calculations based on the reaction spectrum, three-component graphs of dynamics coefficients, as well as direct integration of the equations of motion are also implemented.
