            Abstract: The method of equivalent bars and shells for calculating forces in the application of threedimensional elements is presented. The well-known formulas of the elasticity theory are used. Numerical integration is used for plates. When calculating forces in equivalent bars, the reactions of three-dimensional elements are summed up. Examples of calculations are given.
